## Review summary

Reviews of the RØDE Central Mobile app are mostly negative. The most common complaint is that the app fails to detect or connect to microphones, including the NT1 5th Gen and Video Mic NTG, even after granting permissions. Many users also report failed or crashing firmware updates that block settings changes. Users say recordings cannot be accessed or deleted on Android, forcing them to use a laptop or Windows PC, and some feel key features are limited to iPhone or desktop. A few users say the app works with certain wireless mics and praise ongoing updates.

### Pros

- Some users connect wireless mics like the Wireless ME and PodMic USB successfully
- Regular updates and improvements are noted by multiple users
- Useful for managing mic settings and internal software updates, such as on the VideoMic Go2

### Cons

- Many users report the app does not detect or connect to their mic, including NT1 5th Gen, Video Mic NTG, and devices used with USB-C
- Firmware updates fail or crash, which blocks use of the app and settings for some devices
- Recordings cannot be accessed, downloaded, or deleted on Android, so users must use a laptop or Windows PC
- Some features appear limited to iPhone or desktop, and the app is seen as incomplete or confusing
