Ciphergrove is free and shows a banner ad. Optional Pro, a monthly or yearly subscription, removes ads and adds automatic backup, Archive to server (move files you rarely open to your own server), advanced backup, more vaults and color themes. An ad-free-only subscription is also available. Everything that keeps your files safe and private stays free, and nothing you stored is ever locked if you stop paying. Ads are provided by Google AdMob, which may use your device's advertising ID; no file names, file contents or vault data are shared with the ad service.

IMPORTANT: Your files can only be opened with your PIN or biometrics, or your recovery code. Ciphergrove has no way to recover them if you lose both, so keep your recovery code somewhere safe.
