## Description

Your group spreads out, the phones go in pockets, and nobody hears a ring. CRAGGEN is a push-to-talk walkie talkie app for Android: hold one button and everyone on your channel hears you, over mobile data or Wi-Fi. No account, no phone number, no ads.

HOW IT WORKS

Create a private channel and share its four-word code or an invite link. Anyone with the code joins free, on every plan, always.

Hold TALK to transmit, release to listen. One speaker at a time, like a radio. It keeps working with the screen off and the phone in your pocket.

NO ACCOUNT, NO PHONE NUMBER

Most walkie talkie apps want you to sign up before anyone can say a word. CRAGGEN does not. There is no registration, no phone number, no email, and nothing to verify. You choose a display name, you share a code, and your group is talking.

CREW MONITOR — FOUR CHANNELS AT ONCE

The job that never fits on one channel: the site lead with gates, plant and stores all talking; the event manager across bar, stage and car park; the convoy lead who needs the front and the back.

On the Crew plan, CRAGGEN monitors up to four channels at the same time, like scan on a radio. You hear whichever one speaks. Each channel keeps its own replay, and CRAGGEN remembers who called last on each one, so you can pick up the thread you missed instead of asking everyone to say it again.

HARDWARE PUSH-TO-TALK BUTTONS

Pair a Bluetooth PTT button or a remote speaker microphone and talk without taking the phone out. Useful with gloves on, on a bike, or when the phone is under a jacket.

WHO USES IT

A walkie talkie for hiking and hill walking. For campsites and family days out. For festivals and event crews. For site teams, convoys and small work teams. Anyone who wants a group talking for the day without handing out radios and collecting them back in.

BUILT FOR A THIN SIGNAL

CRAGGEN sends voice with the Opus codec at roughly 16 kbps, and asks Android for bandwidth-constrained networks rather than assuming a fast one. It is engineered for weak connections, not just full bars. You still need a working data connection on every phone — CRAGGEN simply needs far less of it.

PRIVACY, PLAINLY

No account. No phone number. No message history. No server recording. No location tracking. No contacts upload. No ads.

Mute and report controls sit on every person in a channel. A channel can carry an optional PIN, and the PIN is never included in an invite message.

PLANS — JOINING IS ALWAYS FREE

Free: join any channel without limits, and host your own for up to 6 people.

Pro: host up to 16 people, replay the last message, and use a hardware push-to-talk button.

Crew: host up to 40 people with one payer and the whole crew joining free, plus Crew Monitor across four channels.

SAFETY — PLEASE READ THIS

CRAGGEN is not for emergencies and cannot contact the emergency services. It needs a working data connection on every phone in the group.

In an emergency, call your local emergency number directly. Emergency calls can use any available network, so try even with no signal bars.
