2025-01-15	Leah Bourque	Pros: I like the spread of things you can write about and the AI written synopsis of the character. Cons: I would love the "Challenges" part of this app if it worked. Anytime I try to enter something into the fields, my keyboard flashes on the screen and then goes away. This next issue might just be a weirdness with my connection, but when it was trying to write the synopsis for the second character, it "timed out". Auctor Staff, I'd love it if you could fix this issue. Thank you in advance! :)
2024-12-17	L V	I liked the UI, but there's a lot that needs to be added and improve. However, if this is really just for creating characters, at least add timelines, so it would be easier to sort out the age and scenes when/where the characters appeared. The characters information that needs to be filled should be customizable—or at least part of it.
2024-03-05	Aiden Devito	I got it as a recommendation from TikTok. When I first downloaded it, it worked perfectly. I had an issue with the save button but that's an issue I have. However I closed it when I was done one day and the next it refuses to open. When I click an app, it zooms into the app and shows the icon before opening. This app just zoomed in and never opened. Thank God I didn't put that much information in.
2024-03-02	Chaotic Bread	I can see how this would be useful to some people. I'll state that right now. At the same time, it assumes you're trying to write extremely complex characters for deep novels and such, not really being very accommodating if you're trying to plan a comic book villain with only moderate depth, and adding a lot extra to the equation that might not need to be there. There are also several places in the app where grammar needs to be fixed. Especially in the challenges section.
2021-07-14	Black Cherrypaw (S.A.C.A)	This is a pretty detailed app for sure. And I enjoy all the writing challenges it provides so far. The reason I am giving it 4 stars though, is the fact that it needs proofreading. Badly. Too many times have I run into the same issue with reading online web comics, articles, and apps. I can't really take the thing seriously when I keep running into bad grammar and spelling mistakes. A small complaint, but other than that, it's pretty good. 😍 👌
2021-03-04	Mk	I love this app and all it's character writing options, but there are some grammar mistakes here and there. It would be 4 stars, but I can't make more then 2 stories!! Everytime I click add story it tells me I have to go premium or watch an ad. Which I would be fine with, if it actually let me watch an ad!! The only options that show up are go premium and cancel!! I really love this app, but it's not worth much if I have to go premium to make more than 2 stories! Please fix.
2019-08-17	A Google user	It's been a very helpful tool so far, with a simple layout that's easy to use and easy to read. I also like how inclusive the gender options are. My complaint is that the character sheet is very basic and doesn't really cover a lot of the finer details of a character. Things like their birthday and skin tone are left out, and we only get three trait slots to describe their personality. That said, this app is perfect for keeping track of minor and background characters.
2019-08-14	A Google user	I thought Auctor (the previous title of this app) was BOMB! It was easy to use, fun, engaging. But like all things in this world, they tried to fix what wasnt broken and they ruined it. I had 8 projects that I was working on and, when they "upgraded" to forcing everyone to buy a "membership" in order to be creative, all my projects were erased. i have the titles, but i dont have the plot summaries, the genres, the character spreads, nothing. 4 stars for customer care tho. got a response in 2hrs.
2019-07-25	A Google user	I like overall how this app is set up. I have some minor quibbles with it. As another reviewer pointed out, the default on the challenge questions is Male, which bothers me a bit. At least do him/her or something. I also wish, as someone else mentioned, there was a way to externally save it, so all my writing and development isn't trapped on the app. That being said, this app has helped me greatly in developing my characters in ways I didn't think to do and has me thinking more carefully.
2019-07-21	A Google user	Great tool for keeping characters notes and. backgrounds. It also helps you think deeper about them. I'm working on multiple books, and it even let's me categorize the characters by books. I can easily see this being used for a DM or After one day with it, I went premium because it is worth the money. The biggest con is sometimes the buttons on the bottom get in the way of typing in the notes section.
