Today, air quality monitoring is mostly performed via large governmental stations, but their data are not published in real time and the mesh is not dense enough to quickly detect pollution peaks and analyze the causes.<br>PlanetWatch is a global network of air quality sensors and environmentally-conscious people. PlanetWatchers buy and deploy air quality sensors outside their homes or carry them while moving in the city or traveling. This approach enables us to quickly deploy low-cost, dense, real-time sensing networks that effectively complement the governmental infrastructure.
