## Description

Terminalko is an SSH client for Android with a real terminal behind it. Save the servers you already run, tap one, and you are at a shell prompt. No account to create, no subscription, nothing phoning home.

If the SSH app you used for years has vanished from Play or turned into a free trial, this is the replacement: tap a saved server, be in a shell, keys on your phone, one payment if you ever want more.

A REAL TERMINAL, NOT A TEXT BOX
Terminalko is a proper terminal emulator. It draws a full xterm-256color screen, so htop draws properly, vim redraws properly, colours are colours, and the screen resizes when you rotate the phone. If it works over SSH from your laptop, it works here.

TYPING ON A PHONE, SOLVED
A key row puts Ctrl, Alt, Esc, Tab, the arrows and the symbols a shell needs right above the keyboard. A full board underneath adds Ctrl combos, Home, End, Page Up, Page Down and F1 to F10. The arrows behave inside vim and less, so you edit the config file instead of fighting the keyboard.

WHAT IT DOES
Connects over SSH with a password or a private key. Telnet and Mosh are there too.
Keeps a list of your servers with name, host, port and user. Reconnect with one tap.
Runs several sessions on the same server and switches between them.
Browses files on the server with the built in SFTP client, without leaving the app. Editing and uploading come with Pro.
Generates an Ed25519 key on the phone, or takes the one you paste in. Attach it to as many servers as you like.
Reaches a server through a jump host.
Reconnects on its own when the link drops, and picks your tmux session back up.
15 terminal themes and 8 monospace typefaces. 12 themes and 2 typefaces are free.
Locks the app behind your fingerprint or your screen lock.

YOUR KEYS STAY ON YOUR PHONE
Passwords, private keys and passphrases are encrypted with AES-256-GCM under a key held in your phone's hardware keystore. Never logged, never backed up, never sent anywhere except to the server you are connecting to. No cloud sync, so no copy of your server list on somebody else's computer. Uninstall the app and everything it stored is gone.

HOST KEYS ARE CHECKED, NOT WAVED THROUGH
Plenty of mobile SSH clients accept whatever host key the other end offers, which turns the encryption into decoration. Terminalko shows you the SHA256 fingerprint the first time and asks. After that the key is pinned. If it ever changes, the connection fails and tells you why.

NO ADS, NO TRACKING, NO ANALYTICS
No advertising, no analytics, no crash reporting, no telemetry. The only network connections it makes are to the servers you typed in yourself.

FREE, THEN PAY ONCE IF YOU WANT MORE
Two saved servers, every protocol, the full terminal and the SFTP browser are free, with no time limit. Terminalko Pro lifts the server limit and unlocks the theme editor, the extra themes and typefaces, and writing files over SFTP. One payment. Not a subscription.

WHO IT IS FOR
Anyone who runs a VPS, a home server, a NAS or a Raspberry Pi and is not at their desk when it needs attention. Restart a service. Tail the logs. Reattach to tmux. Check why the disk filled up. Then put the phone away.

WHAT IT DOES NOT DO
Up front, so nobody installs it expecting something else.
No port forwarding or tunnels, beyond reaching a server through a jump host.
No SSH agent and no agent forwarding.
No local shell. Terminalko connects to your Linux and Unix servers over the secure shell protocol; it does not run Linux on the phone itself.

IN YOUR LANGUAGE
English, Czech, German, Spanish, French, Hungarian, Japanese, Polish, Brazilian Portuguese, Russian, Slovak, Ukrainian, Simplified and Traditional Chinese.

OPEN SOURCE UNDER THE HOOD
The terminal emulator and the SSH library are open source under the Apache License 2.0. Full attribution is in the app under Settings, Open source licences.

Terminalko is on iPhone, iPad and Mac too.
