User reviews
My Little Aquarium - Free Puzz is praised for its cute, high-quality graphics and variety of puzzles paired with a relaxing aquarium feature. Users appreciate the non-intrusive ads and engaging gameplay. However, recurring complaints include a slow and repetitive progression system, confusing unlocking mechanics, annoying in-app prompts, and issues with ads removal options. Suggestions also include improving puzzle clarity and interface enhancements. Overall, it's a charming and enjoyable puzzle game with room for improvement in user experience and progression design.
Pros
- Cute and colorful graphics with high quality and relaxing art style.
- Variety of puzzles with multiple puzzle types and numerous levels to play.
- Aquarium feature adds a unique and enjoyable aspect to the game, including fish, decorations, and interactive elements like feeding fish and making bubbles.
- Ads are generally not intrusive; players can choose to watch ads for bonuses or coins.
- Puzzles strike a good balance between fun and challenging, suitable for casual play and brain-teasing.
Cons
- Progression restrictions: needing to complete many levels of one puzzle type before unlocking new puzzle types can feel repetitive and dull.
- Confusing or unclear information about unlocking themes and puzzle conditions, leading to user frustration.
- In-app messaging reminders (like the black creature or urchin) prompting to play puzzles for coins can be intrusive and annoying.
- Ads removal options are confusing or expensive, with some requiring subscriptions, and ads still appear for optional rewards despite ad-free purchase.
- Some puzzle design issues such as line visibility and slow difficulty ramp, and minor UI/UX improvements suggested (like dark mode, navigating directly to themes).

it could easily be a five-star game if they cared to make it one. I wrote in to their customer support months ago complaining of multiple issues, one of which was that I am photosensitive and paid for adfree bc the flashy ads and ad prompt animations are harmful to my health. they answered my other concern and totally ignored this issue, and have done nothing to improve it. if you aren't even taking your players' safety into consideration, but still ask for their money, something is wrong.

Nice puzzle suite but extremely annoyed that remove ad purchase option doesn't include removing the watching the ads part of getting optional rewards. Would have otherwise bought it since that's where the bulk of my ad time in this game COMES from. So there's no point in buying it then. (ETA lol just saw the Puzzle Aquarium remove ALL ads option is subscription, that's even worse lmaoooo)
