22bet is a quick match-stick puzzle for the small gaps in your day: a queue, a wait for your order, a spare minute at a table. Open a round, study the rows, and match wits with a computer opponent that plays by a strict strategy.<br><br>The rules are simple to learn. Several rows of sticks sit on the table. On your turn you take as many sticks as you like, but all from a single row. Then the computer answers. Play alternates until the last stick is gone. In the standard variant whoever takes the last stick wins; switch to the misère variant and whoever takes the last stick loses. Both change the game completely, so pick the one you enjoy and think a move ahead.<br><br>The opponent plays optimally, so easy runs are rare, yet many layouts are winnable if you count carefully. Every round of 22bet starts with a fresh random deal of three or four rows, and the first move is always yours.
