We at GreenDMS want to contribute to a greener world with our sensor technology. In recent decades we have seen more and more clearly the consequences of climate change, such as dry periods or very wet periods. As a result, many (young) trees die prematurely or become less vital. If the soil contains too little moisture, the plants will grow little or not at all. If the soil contains too much moisture, the plants will grow little or not at all, because this will displace the oxygen.

Grip on the soil processes is essential to allow plants or vegetation to grow better. That is why we have developed special sensors for this. Sensors that not only measure moisture content, but also EC value and soil temperature. In addition, the Premium variant also measures soil gases such as oxygen and Co2. This collects a lot of data about the soil and makes it possible to intervene in time if something does not appear to be in order.
The sensors are connected to a web portal and an app. You can view the measurement data at any time in the web portal. There is even the option to view the historical data of each sensor via a well-arranged dashboard. The sensor is also connected to the app. This means that you can view the moisture balance of the soil at any time via the app at any time of the day. In this way, there is daily control and action can be taken in good time, for example by watering. An additional advantage is that the app also provides watering advice. This way you don't have to give more water than necessary. The app also prevents unnecessary watering. Very useful in times when water wastage and economical use of water is an important point.

By collecting a lot of data and linking it to the tree data, it is possible to analyze whether there are connections after a growing season. And what lessons can we draw from this? Good sensor management also ensures efficient planning in the implementation and less loss of trees. This prevents unnecessary driving movements and destruction of capital. This is positive because it also means less CO2 is emitted. But also because trees will grow better and therefore fulfill their function with associated ecosystem services sooner.
