FIND US BROADCAST TOWERS

Use your current location to view listed US TV transmitters within 150 km (about 93 miles). Nearby sites are organized by distance so you can quickly compare a close transmitter with a larger cluster in another direction. Where reliable source data is available, a station entry can include its channel, network or call sign, distance, bearing, and signal-related details. If channel or power information is not known, the app labels it as unknown rather than filling in an estimate.

FOLLOW A COMPASS BEARING

Choose a transmitter or tower group and open the pointer. The compass places its direction in relation to the way your phone is facing, while a numeric heading gives you a reference for installation. A grouped site lets you aim toward multiple broadcasts sharing the same general location instead of treating each channel as a separate physical target.

CHECK THE MAP

The map shows your position, listed transmitter sites, and bearing lines together. It is useful for comparing several directions and for choosing a visible landmark along the same line. This can also help when nearby metal, appliances, a vehicle, or the antenna itself interferes with the phone compass.

RESCAN AFTER ADJUSTING

A built-in TV rescan guide explains the usual steps after moving the antenna: connect it, open the television's channel setup, run an antenna or air scan, and review the result. Menu names differ by TV manufacturer, so the guide focuses on the common process rather than one brand.

COVERAGE AND LIMITS

Detailed channel and signal data is provided for listed US transmitters within 150 km. France and Portugal have separate direction-and-distance support for mapped sites within 80 km; channel and power fields may be unavailable there. Portugal locations are based on mapped OpenStreetMap sites. The app does not claim transmitter coverage for other countries and does not substitute far-away fallback targets.

TV Antenna Pointer does not measure live signal strength and cannot predict reception with certainty. Terrain, trees, buildings, antenna height and type, cabling, interference, weather, and transmitter operation can all affect the channels your TV receives. Use the direction as a starting point, then confirm the final position with your television's signal meter or repeated channel scans.
