Pirates Room Escape offers clever, logical puzzles with nice graphics and smooth gameplay, presenting a challenging experience rated from intermediate to hard difficulty. However, multiple users noted issues with confusing, poorly designed puzzles and lack of an in-game menu or exit button, making navigation difficult. Some players also disliked sound effects that can't be disabled independently and found the game short or the puzzles not particularly creative.

Not my favorite mipp game but it is a decent puzzle escape compared to most so still 5 stars

I've encountered clever and creative puzzles, this is just not it for me. Personally, I make the distinction that good, creative puzzles do not rely on confusion. One example, opening that door, we can have: B interpreted as 8, L as inverted 7, W as rotated 3, M as another rotated 3, E as reflected 3, b as inverted 9, q as 9 and so on. It's trivially easy to make a puzzle based on that but it's not really clever or creative. Remove the tricks and the puzzles end up being trivially easy.
