Project MESHA

Project Mesha has focused on the rearing of small ruminants such as goats – through productivity improvements, better practices and through creation of producer groups and localized support.

Development organisers – at the middle tier of the system, support front line workers called Pashu Sakhis, adequately trained, working on a fee model, support goat-rearers in terms of feed, health facilities (including vaccinations), insurance and improved goat management practices.
