My computer came installed with Microsoft Office Pro software for which I paid $460. Microsoft no longer allows me to open Excel, Word, Outlook, or any file I've created using these apps, unless I grant them permission to view everything on all of my devices, even the content that isn't associated with Microsoft whatsoever. This includes personal information and 'secured folder' content a well as what I've searched for, sites I've been to, and personal info I have saved in all of my browsers.

App works fine when it works. Unfortunately, it keeps breaking: it says "you are not allowed to edit this, please sign in", then when I try and sign in, it says it can't find the account. I contact Microsoft support and they just said uninstall and reinstall the app. That did "fix" it, but it just happens again in a few weeks. So, three stars. I think I'll just use the 365 app to edit my spreadsheet, as it doesn't have this bug.
