Established in 1973, the Hong Kong Life Assurance Practitioners Association (hereinafter referred to as the "Association of Insurance Associations") is a professional organization in the insurance industry with a long history.

The main purpose of the "Association of Insurance" is to promote and improve the professional standards of life insurance practitioners, and to formulate and implement relevant professional codes; to organize educational courses and conferences, to provide opportunities for people in the industry to learn and exchange experiences, so as to improve the level and achievement of practitioners; to encourage practitioners Participate in public welfare and public affairs, and give back to the society.

Organized educational courses including: "Associate Chartered Financial Planner Course", "Chartered Financial Planner Course", "Chartered Life Insurance Planner", etc., to improve practitioners' professional knowledge in sales, financial planning and management.

The process of organizing conferences and awards includes: "Insurance Association" added "Outstanding Life Insurance Manager Award" and "Outstanding Life Insurance Salesperson Award" in 1993, launched the "Outstanding Financial Planner" honor in 2007, and established "Quality Insurance" in 2010. Consultant, Manager, Leader Award", and the "Outstanding Rising Star Award" was established in 2020 to recognize and commend outstanding life insurance practitioners. In 2021, the "Excellent Integrity Consultant Award" and the "Recognized Wealth Management Integrity Consultant" certificate will be launched for the first time, and the professional integrity image of insurance financial consultants will be highly supported by the industry and society. In 2019, the Insurance Association successfully bid to host the 17th Asia Pacific Life Insurance Conference (APLIC), which is a major event in the industry.

Industry Development: The Insurance Association has been a member of the Insurance Agents Registration Committee since 1993, and the Industry Affairs Department established in 2010 is mainly used as a bridge of communication with the government and related agencies, consolidating the professional image of the industry, and serving the insurance industry. Practitioners strive for reasonable rights and interests. In September 2019, the Insurance Authority officially replaced the three self-regulatory agencies to regulate insurance intermediaries. The Insurance Association, as an ex officio member of the Life Insurance Industry Regulation and Development Concern Group (ICG), also actively participated in consultation and consultation. Over-arranged work promotes the healthy development of the industry.

Caring about social services: The Insurance Association has always encouraged insurance practitioners to actively participate in charitable activities and care for the community. In order to more effectively coordinate social service activities, the "Association of Insurance" officially established a charitable fund in 1998 to encourage practitioners to participate in public welfare affairs.
