## Description

Client Safety Assistant helps caregivers stay connected with the people they support, using only the phones they already have.<br><br>  The app has two simple roles: client and caregiver. A client can share their location, battery status and SOS alerts with trusted caregivers. A caregiver can<br>  monitor one or more clients, switch between them, view their latest location, manage safe zones and coordinate care with notes, appointments and medication<br>  entries.<br><br>Key features:<br><br>  - Secure client-caregiver pairing with a short code or QR scan<br>  - Background location sharing from the client phone, with permission<br>  - Large SOS button for urgent help requests<br>  - Battery and last-active status so caregivers know if a phone may be offline<br>  - Safe zones with alerts when a client enters or leaves a configured area<br>  - Shared notes for care updates<br>  - Private notes visible only to the author<br>  - Shared appointments and medication lists<br>  - Multiple caregivers per client and multiple clients per caregiver<br>  - Content-free push notifications for SOS and safe-zone events<br><br>  Location sharing starts only after pairing is accepted. Clients and caregivers can remove a link at any time. Location, SOS-location and safe-zone data are end-<br>  to-end encrypted between paired devices.<br><br>  Client Safety Assistant is designed for care coordination and safety awareness. It does not replace emergency services, professional medical care or direct<br>  supervision. In an emergency, contact local emergency services immediately.<br><br>  What’s New<br>  Initial release with secure pairing, background location sharing, SOS alerts, safe zones, battery status, shared notes, appointments and medications.<br><br>  Background Location Permission Declaration<br>  Client devices use background location so linked caregivers can see the client’s last known position and receive SOS or safe-zone alerts even when the phone is<br>  locked or the app is closed. Location sharing starts only after the client grants permission and accepts pairing with a caregiver. Caregiver devices do not use<br>  background location for caregiver tracking.<br><br>  In-App Prominent Disclosure Text<br>  Allow background location so your linked caregivers can see your last known location and receive SOS and safe-zone alerts when this phone is locked or the app<br>  is closed. Your location is shared only with caregivers you approve.<br><br>  Data Safety Summary<br>  Data collected: precise location, battery/status data, SOS alerts, profile name/photo, notes, appointments, medications, push notification token and technical<br>  operational data.<br><br>Purpose: app functionality, care coordination, safety alerts, account pairing, security and troubleshooting.<br><br>Sharing: data is shared with actively paired clients/caregivers and service providers used to operate the app, including Supabase and Firebase Cloud Messaging.<br><br>  Security: data is encrypted in transit. Location, SOS-location and safe-zone data are end-to-end encrypted between paired devices. Notes, appointments and<br>  medications are protected by access controls but are not currently end-to-end encrypted.<br><br>  Deletion: users can remove pairings in the app and request account/data deletion via info@nextact.is.
