## Description

This is the premium version -- it is ad-free. There is also a free version with ads.<br><br>Tamil is a Dravidian language spoken in southern India, primarily in the state of Tamil Nadu. It is also an official language in Sri Lanka and Singapore.<br>It is also spoken by the large Tamil diaspora communities of Malaysia, Myanmar, South Africa, the UK, the US, Canada, Australia, and Mauritius.<br>Tamil is also considered one of the longest-surviving classical languages of the world. The earliest epigraphic records of Tamil date to the 3rd century BCE.<br>It is written with an abugida, with 12 vowels (uyireḻuttu, &quot;soul-letters&quot;) and 18 consonants (meyyeḻuttu, &quot;body-letters&quot;).<br>This app is designed to help you become comfortable with recognizing more and more complex letter forms until you can read and construct full-words.<br>Start first by studying the vowels, practicing writing them down and then trying the quiz. Then try the quiz with the diacritics.<br>Then, move on to consonants. Then, try the quiz with the consonant-vowel combinations.<br>There is also a word scramble and typing game to practice putting together common words.
