2025-01-26 | 14 day free trial, but the episode I wanted to watch is behind Pay Wall. Uninstalled. I'm in the free 14 day trial. No payment info attached. After 14 day trial, there is an automatic renewal. How do I prevent this since I cannot seem to be able to delete my profile. HELP!!! It's very annoying that businesses do this. Make you never want to subscribe to anything.
2025-01-25 | Previously, I wrote a review that I was having problems with the subscription. Now, I'm experiencing problems with the network. I've been a customer of Kocowa for a while now, and I have a love-hate relationship. It disconnects me from the network altogether. It definitely is not my internet because when I watch on a different app, it works just fine. I'm tempted to cancel the subscription if this keeps up, but I miss these shows. I'm going to think hard on this.
2025-01-04 | Super buggy. The downloads don't work for offline viewing - they immediately expire after downloading. Internet access is also required to access downloads which makes the entire feature completely obsolete. I sent in a support ticket for this many weeks ago and still haven't received a response. Backgrounding the app prevents you from going back to watch what you were previously watching and you have to completely restart the app. No Continue Watching section makes the app annoying to use.
2024-12-29 | content is great, but the app leaves a lot to be desired. after every episode I have to clear cache to watch next episode. Can't get tech support to fix a typo in my email adress so can't verify the account. continue watching often is on the wrong episode if it shows at all. I find myself turning to other apps that aren't so buggy. roku app is better but leaves a bit to be desired.
2024-12-28 | Great content and organized well enough, but still quirky. It needs a specific menu for "continue watching" - a list of shows you're currently watching on the main landing page to make it easier to find the specific episode you're on and antinue where you left off. The "history" tab is ok, but shows each individual episode you've completed only.
2024-11-23 | Everytime I pause and leave the app to look at something else and try to resume my show it won't let me watch. So annoying. UI/UX needs a lot of work. Also no Korean captioning for Korean shows? Can't turn off English subtitles on app no matter how many times I go and check no subtitles as well. Make it make sense.
2024-09-27 | It has a variety of content to choose from. From variety shows to k dramas, they have a lot. The only downside of the app is that I regularly receive an error when I'd like to resume watching content I've already started. The error says: "[0001] Not authorized: Server Error. Please try again in a moment." I've resorted to switching to watching it from my browser due to this error Update: There are no more errors. Thank you! 5 stars! :)
2024-09-02 | I have no clue how this app has such a high rating. the server error issue is constant and the subtitles just turn off out of nowhere and won't come back on. The only positive is that I learned all this during my free trial and was able to cancel my plan before I got charged. I'll learn to be patient and wait on a show to reach Viki's Kocowa zone.
2024-08-28 | I really thought that everyone was exaggerating when they would leave reviews about how bad the app is. This is literally one of the worst functioning apps. It stops working on my TV and if it plays on my phone it will not transfer it to the TV. It's always an error about the server or something else. Within this current instance, the app just went blank on my TV with an "unknown error" It's not worth it to get invested in a show, only to end up not being able to watch it. Ruins the experience.
2024-08-26 | Hi! I usually use this app to watch on my TV with Google cast, but for a few months now it's been buggy, and it won't play without buffering every few seconds even more recently which makes it unusable. I also reached out to support a while ago and got no response. I used to love kocowa so much but I'm so upset that that videos won't load on Chromecast (they only load for a split second and then it closes without even showing up on TV). |
