## Description

CatchFi quietly watches the Wi-Fi networks around you and lets you know the moment it finds one that isn&#39;t secured — before you accidentally connect to it.<br><br>Public and unknown Wi-Fi networks without a password are an easy way for someone nearby to snoop on your traffic. CatchFi doesn&#39;t try to &quot;fix&quot; or secure those networks — instead, it gives you a clear, immediate heads-up (sound, vibration and a notification) so you can make an informed choice about connecting.<br><br>WHAT IT DOES<br>- Scans nearby Wi-Fi networks in the background, even when the app isn&#39;t open<br>- Alerts you with sound, vibration and a notification when it detects an open network<br>- Optional internet-access check, so you&#39;re only alerted about networks that actually work, not just ones that are visible<br>- One-tap &quot;Test alarm&quot; so you can check your sound and vibration setup<br>- Keeps a simple local history of what it found, with optional GPS location (off by default)<br>- Available in 14 languages, automatically following your phone&#39;s language, or pick one yourself in Settings<br><br>YOUR PRIVACY<br>Everything CatchFi finds stays on your phone. History and settings are stored locally and are never uploaded anywhere. The app shows ads through Google AdMob to stay free — see our Privacy Policy for details on what AdMob processes.<br><br>WHY LOCATION PERMISSION?<br>Android requires location permission before it will return Wi-Fi scan results to any app — this is a system-wide restriction, not something CatchFi asks for by choice. We only use it to read the names of nearby networks.<br><br>CatchFi is a lightweight scanning and alerting tool, not a VPN or firewall — it can&#39;t secure a network for you, only warn you about it.
