## Description

“Ek Pravesh – Ek Paudha” Initiative<br>The Directorate of Higher Education, Haryana has introduced the “Ek Pravesh – Ek Paudha” initiative to promote environmental sustainability through active participation of students and Government Colleges across the State. Under this initiative, plantation activities are linked directly with student admissions based on the principle of “One Student – One Plant”. The scheme aims to enhance green cover, improve campus ecology, encourage biodiversity, and develop environmental awareness among students. A centralized digital monitoring system shall facilitate real-time reporting, geo-tagging of plantation sites, upload of photographs, and monitoring of plantation progress and survival rates. The initiative shall be implemented in coordination with the Forest Department and monitored at College, District, and State levels to ensure transparency, accountability, and long-term sustainability.
