## Description

DeleteAsBackspace<br>Uses the sample code from https://android.googlesource.com/platform/development/+/master/samples/SoftKeyboard/ to remap the delete key in hardware keyboards to backspace.<br><br>How to use:<br>0) Make sure that your bluetooth or USB keyboard is connected and working<br>1) Install Delete As Backspace<br>2) Go into your device&#39;s Settings -&gt; Language &amp; Input (or similar, like &quot;Language &amp; Keyboard&quot;)<br>3) Tap &quot;Current Keyboard&quot;<br>4) At the bottom right of the Change keyboard dialog, choose &quot;CHOOSE KEYBOARDS&quot; (&quot;SELECT MORE&quot; in some devices)<br>5) Enable &quot;Delete as Backspace&quot; and accept the warning<br>6) Go to the app where you wish to type and type on a text field, e.g. Google Keep<br>7) Change the keyboard to Delete as Backspace<br>7a) drag the Notification Bar down and select &quot;Change Keyboard&quot; then select DeleteAsBackspace<br>7b) On nexus devices and some others, tap on the keyboard icon at the bottom right then select DeleteAsBackspace<br><br><br>Todo<br>Add option to hide the software keyboard Support different keyboard layouts and a simple IME Engine for some languages like Japanese<br><br>License<br>Apache 2.0 (See LICENSE)<br>Get the source from https://github.com/hfavisado/DeleteAsBackspace<br><br>Suggestions to improve the app, constructive feedback, and pull requests are very welcome!
