Halmis Recipes

Living far from home, my partner deeply misses her 96-year-old Korean grandmother, who has always been the heart and soul of their family’s kitchen. A master chef in her own right, her grandmother’s recipes are a treasure trove of traditional Korean cuisine, honed over decades. However, as age takes its toll, she’s finding it harder to cook and, sadly, some of these beloved recipes are slipping from memory.

To honor her grandmother and ensure these precious recipes are not lost to time, we’ve created this application. It's more than just a collection of recipes; it’s a way to preserve and share a piece of her grandmother’s legacy with the world. Each dish tells a story, and we invite you to be part of it.

We’re in the process of transferring these recipes from my partner’s notebook to this platform, so you’ll see more dishes added over time. We hope you enjoy cooking and sharing these meals as much as we do.
