## Description

IMPORTANT: BEFORE YOU CAN USE THIS APP, YOU WILL REQUIRE AN ACTIVE GSMPBX.<br>GSMPBX is a cloud-hosted company PBX (switchboard) system that:<br>- Gives you a landline phone number directly on your cellphone(s)<br>- Can be set up in minutes with no technical skills needed<br>- Can be maintained in real-time<br>- Needs no investment or infrastructure (it uses your existing smartphones,<br>this makes the total cost of ownership really low compared to hardware-<br>based VoIP switchboard systems)<br>- Does not rely on your cellphone data connection to make calls (as<br>GSMPBX calls are made using real GSM voice calls instead of voice-over-<br>data)<br>Unlike with current or “legacy” phone switchboard systems, with GSMPBX you<br>have:<br>- no installations<br>- no site maintenance visits<br>- no physical phone lines<br>- no cabling/wiring/reticulation<br>- no backup power<br>- no data infrastructure<br>- no call forwarding to mobile charges<br>- no dedicated hardware / IP phones<br>- no technicians<br>- no maintenance agreements or SLAs<br>- no interbranch WAN connections<br>- no jitter or other line quality issues<br>GSMPBX uses GSM voice calls instead of VoIP:  All GSMPBX calls are made<br>via GSM which gives you a trusted, managed, guaranteed network quality.  In<br>contrast, VoIP calls use a best-effort technology, which is only as good as your<br>data connection and how well it is managed - and is particularly challenged when<br>you are not connected to good WiFi.  GSMPBX calls your work perfectly no matter<br>where you are, even way out in the countryside on a sketchy one-bar signal.<br>GSMPBX call usage is not billed to users’ SIM cards:  All Business calls<br>made by your users from their cellphones using the GSMPBX app are billed to the<br>company account, so your users will never have to be refunded, or have personal<br>airtime or data available for company use. (Caveat: like any smartphone app, the<br>GSMPBX app does use a little data, less than 2Mb per month; this is used for<br>app-server communication purposes, not to carry calls.)<br>GSMPBX protects user privacy: The GSMPBX app uses your GSMPBX<br>company (or “Business”) number(s) for outbound calls, which means even<br>though your users are using their own smartphones and SIM cards, their personal<br>privacy and private phone numbers are always protected.  In addition, after<br>hours calls can be sent straight to the company voicemail to further protect<br>users&#39; personal time.<br>GSMPBX promotes spend accountability and data sovereignty:  Because<br>the GSMPBX app is smartphone-based, your users use the company account to<br>make and receive business calls and do not need to be given “cellphone<br>allowances” as well.  This has several other benefits for the business owner too -<br>you get sight of, and records of, all business calls made from users’ cellphones,<br>and you also own the numbers these calls are being made from, which can help<br>retain ownership of your customer if your user leaves your employ.
