Review summary
Skincare Time: Makeover ASMR starts as a relaxing and visually appealing ASMR skincare game with enjoyable and customizable makeover features. However, from about level 30 onwards, the game diverges into simple, repetitive puzzle mini-games that lack skincare content and have lower animation quality. Many users are frustrated by persistent ads despite purchasing ad removal, broken levels, and uncomfortable promotion of unrealistic beauty standards including skin lightening. Though initially promising, the game's design disappoints players due to the bait-and-switch style gameplay shift and intrusive mechanics that undermine the relaxing experience.
Pros
- Relaxing and enjoyable ASMR skincare experience in early levels
- Beautiful graphics and smooth interface in initial stages
- Good amount of levels initially with various skincare and makeover activities
- Playable offline for early levels
- Useful for short breaks or casual relaxation
Cons
- Most levels beyond around level 30/40 are no longer skincare related but simple, often too easy puzzles
- Gameplay quality and animation declines sharply in later levels
- Frequent ads even after purchasing ad removal, some levels require watching ads to skip
- Promotion of unrealistic and concerning beauty standards, including aggressive skin lightening and facial modifications
- Annoying timer and life mechanics that add stress rather than relaxation
- Some levels are broken or impossible to complete
- Many levels contain gross or disturbing visuals such as infections or animal abuse
- Repetitive, low-effort, and sometimes misleading progression beyond early levels

2025-01-31 | i have so many things to say... first: this game is pushing a single beauty standard to hell and back and it gets frustrating, especially when its incredibly unrealistic. second: for a relaxing game, the timer and the levels with lives add stress, and those should not be in this game. third: after a certain amount of levels, they stop having any effort or even being about skincare at all... not even HALF of the levels are skincare related. frankly horrible design
2025-01-29 | It was great at first I thought I finally found a game that was exactly as advertised. But after the first few levels of as advertised game play the levels got more and more disappointing with no actual skincare elements involved. It was fun while it lasted but I decided to stop playing and delete and install a different game.
2025-01-28 | Such a good game just like the ads. While playing though it would bring you back to a level after you've finished it even if you were multiple levels above that. The last 30 to 40 games are super easy and less fun compared to the ones previously. There seems to be a drop off in the middle of the game and the levels end at 140 something
2025-01-25 | Out of 141 levels only 41 actually have to do with the general theme of skincare, beauty, makeovers, etc. The other 100 seem to almost be toddler-like games. Several that are literally those simple wooden puzzles you give toddlers. One was putting the lifecycle of a frog in order. One was literally just a dying phone and a charger cord that you plug in. Just two second little things to milk as much advertising revenue from you as possible. There are better games, don't bother.
2025-01-25 | Like many people I loved this game...Until level 42 when the developers seemingly decided to stop caring about quality and the game completely changed. The levels are no longer makeover themed, the graphics are much lazier, and the puzzles are so easy a baby could figure them out. Very disappointing, do not pay to get rid of adds when more than half of the game is garbage...
2025-01-24 | This game was really fun until it became puzzles only. Really quick easy puzzles and no more skincare. It's quite misleading. It starts with good fun skincare asmr stuff but then it's like organizing stupid stuff and I paid for no ads because I thought the whole game was skincare. I hate that I spent money on it now. The game had potential but now it's boring and repetitive.
2025-01-24 | The game is a good time killer. There are definitely ads, which can be annoying, but I don't think they interfered with my gameplay too much. After you get past a certain level, the game loses the skincare focus that it is advertised as. I also feel like even though the game is a good time killer, the beauty methods shown in the game are questionable, and it raises concerns of promoting potentially unhealthy and unrealistic beauty standards. I guess if you want something mindless, this is it.
2025-01-24 | Game was good cause the slightly longer timer, but when it started to get to the levels with the tools and you had to pick the right one it became unplayable. It would barely register that you were done with an object or it was so picky then trying to move on to the next step after memorizing what you had to do after playing the level 5000000x times. Or having to sit there and revive a million times because there's no indication of what order they want you to use a tool without a hint.
2025-01-22 | Don't let my rating fool you, I do enjoy the game. The only thing I have a problem with is the specific Asian beauty standards that are being portrayed. I have no problem with anyone using makeup and sorts like that, but involving modifications like face lifting tape or other aspects to make the character look way skinnier or 3 shades skin tones lighter doesn't sit right with me. If you don't have problems with that of course then it's a great chill game with a fair amount of ads
2025-01-21 | Skincare Time: Makeover ASMR is a delightful and relaxing app! The soothing ASMR sounds combined with the skincare routines create a calming experience, perfect for unwinding after a long day. I love how the game allows you to customize the makeover process and try different skincare treatments. The graphics are beautiful, and the interface is smooth and easy to navigate. It’s a great way to relax and enjoy a virtual skincare routine. Highly recommend for ASMR lovers and beauty enthusiasts! |
