Essential Remapper lets you map the Essential hardware button to any action you want: take screenshots, record your screen, launch apps, toggle your flashlight, control media, and much more.

Three gestures (single press, double press, long press) can each trigger a different action, giving you instant access to your most-used shortcuts. Every press is paired with beautiful visual feedback in two styles: one inspired by Nothing's signature aesthetic, one that matches native Android.

Fully optimized for every Nothing and CMF Phone with an Essential button.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
WHAT YOU CAN DO
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

• Take a screenshot
• Record your screen, with adjustable resolution, frame rate, and optional microphone audio
• Open the camera app of your choice, even from the lock screen
• Toggle flashlight on/off
• Toggle screen rotation lock
• Switch between Ring and Vibrate modes
• Toggle Do Not Disturb
• Trigger voice assistant
• Media controls - play/pause, next track, previous track
• Launch any installed app
• Launch app-specific shortcuts
• Launch specific app screens (deep-link to any activity)

Plus Camera Shutter mode: while the stock camera is open, the Essential button becomes a shutter button and takes the shot instantly. Works with the lock screen camera too.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
THREE GESTURES, THREE ACTIONS
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Each gesture can do something different:
• Single press - quick tap
• Double press - two taps within a configurable window
• Long press - hold for a configurable duration

Adjust gesture timing precisely to match your preference.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
PREMIUM VISUAL FEEDBACK
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Two beautiful overlay styles that animate when you press the button:

• Nothing style - animated glow on the button edge with Nothing's signature aesthetic
• Stock Android style - clean circular icon popup with native Android theming

Both adapt to your device orientation, show state-aware icons (flashlight on/off, rotation locked, ringer mode, DND, recording status), and are fully customizable.
Pick your own glow color, adjust hold duration, and toggle effects.
