QA Shield is a companion app for planning and managing software quality assurance engagements. It brings together service information, transparent guide pricing and office visit scheduling in a single, fast, offline-first experience designed for mobile.<br><br>The home screen gives a quick overview of what the app can do, surfacing a snapshot of experience figures, a summary of service categories and a shortcut to the most common actions, so returning users can get to what they need in a single tap without wading through unrelated content.<br><br>The services section presents every testing specialism as an individual entry with a plain-English summary, a detailed breakdown of what is included in the engagement and a guide price shown in pounds sterling per consultant day. Each entry explains the kind of work involved and how engagements are typically structured, helping a visitor understand scope and cost before reaching out for a formal quote.<br><br>The booking section is the core productivity tool inside the app. It shows a rolling thirty day calendar strip together with a grid of consultation time slots for the selected day. Time slots are generated from realistic office opening hours and rendered with a simulated occupancy pattern, so slots closer to today naturally appear busier than slots further in the future, mirroring how a real appointment diary fills up. A visitor can reserve a slot without typing in any personal contact information, review the confirmed booking at any time, add it directly to their device calendar and release it again with a single confirmation step if plans change.<br><br>Once a visit is booked, the app can schedule two local reminder notifications, one on the evening before the appointment and one an hour beforehand, entirely through on-device alarms. No account, sign in or internet connection is required for any of this to work, and no reminder data is ever sent off the device.<br><br>The contact and company section brings together office location details with one tap actions to open turn by turn directions, start a phone call or draft an email, alongside published business hours, a short company background, the values that guide day to day delivery, and the professional accreditations held by the organisation.<br><br>QA Shield uses a clean, modern interface built with Jetpack Compose and Material 3, presented in an immersive full screen layout that keeps distracting system indicators out of view while still respecting camera cutouts and gesture navigation areas. The app supports both light and dark system themes and has been engineered to keep the installed footprint as small as practical.
