## Description

DocScan turns your phone camera into a flatbed scanner. Point it at a page and you get back something that looks scanned — flat lighting, white paper, sharp text — not a photograph of paper with a shadow across it.<br><br>No account. No subscription. No watermark. Nothing is uploaded anywhere unless you choose a folder to back up to.<br><br>THREE LOOKS<br><br>Normal keeps true colour and removes the lighting.<br>Special exaggerates colour for maximum contrast, so faint print and coloured forms stand out.<br>Black &amp; white uses adaptive thresholding tuned for text, with speckle removal, so pencil and faint ink survive instead of dissolving.<br><br>NON-DESTRUCTIVE EDITING<br><br>The corrected capture is kept as an immutable original. Whatever you choose — the look, brightness, contrast, saturation, sharpening, ink strength — stays changeable later. Come back in a year and adjust it; nothing is baked in.<br><br>SEARCH INSIDE YOUR SCANS<br><br>Text recognition runs on the device with a bundled model, so it works with no signal and nothing is sent anywhere. Search finds words inside your documents and shows you the matching page.<br><br>FOLDERS<br><br>File documents into a folder tree you arrange. Rename, move, reorder pages, delete pages.<br><br>ID AND BANK CARDS<br><br>A dedicated mode captures both sides of a card and lays them on one sheet, cropped close and sized to real card dimensions — so printing gives a life-size copy, and the thumbnail actually shows the card.<br><br>PDF EXPORT AND SHARING<br><br>Export to PDF at A4 or at the scan&#39;s own size, choose resolution and margin, then share it anywhere. Page images are embedded directly with no re-encoding, so the file stays small and the quality is exactly what you saw.<br><br>BACKUP TO A FOLDER YOU CHOOSE<br><br>Pick any destination through Android&#39;s own folder picker — Google Drive, OneDrive, a network share, an SD card, internal storage. Your documents are mirrored there as PDFs you can open with anything, alongside the original captures and an index, so a new phone can rebuild the whole library: folders, page order, looks and recognised text included.<br><br>It is your folder and your account. There is no DocScan server, and there is no DocScan account to create.<br><br>PRIVACY<br><br>No analytics, no tracking, no ads. Documents never leave the device through Android&#39;s own backup or device-transfer either — that is switched off deliberately. Where a copy goes is your decision, made once in Settings.<br><br>Requires Android 8.0 or later.
