I am using the desktop app from 2018 and since then the mobile app doesnt work at least on my blackberry. It must be taken down, seems that no one is working on it anymore but they issued a new device... how safe is it since no one cares about the mobile app?

I am being forced to use this app to send bitcoin when I don't want to use my phone at all. My phone is old too and cannot even boot up the app so I am stuck and cannot send anything untill I buy a new phone. Great.
