Elight Studio is a multitrack music studio and DAW: record vocals and instruments on separate tracks, make beats on drum pads, play synths and SoundFonts, edit notes in a piano roll, mix with effects and export the song as MP3, AAC, WAV or FLAC. The MP3 cutter, converter and voice recorder you remember are still here, in redesigned Tools.

Every studio and audio feature works offline, on your device. No account needed.

A fresh look in 3.2
Project cards now show a real waveform of your song, so you can tell takes apart at a glance. The Library's mini-player cover scrubs with your tap. Instruments open as a labelled grid, Tools are a bento of cards with a Recent rail, and Studio opens on a slow-rotating vinyl when it's empty — so your first new song starts on a blank record.

Multitrack recording
• Record vocals, rap or any instrument through the microphone, track by track
• Count-in, metronome and loop playback
• Hear yourself while recording when headphones are connected
• Latency calibration so your takes land on the beat
• Set the tempo (BPM) and time signature, snap clips to the beat

Clip editing
• Split, trim, move and duplicate clips on the timeline
• Fade in, fade out and clip gain
• Undo and redo
• Change a clip's tempo and pitch (time-stretch), with an option to keep the voice's character

Instruments and beats
• 10 built-in synth sounds: keys, electric piano, synth lead, bass, sub bass, pad, pluck, strings, organ and bell
• A synthesized drum kit: kick, snare, clap, hi-hats, toms, crash, ride and percussion
• Load your own SoundFont (.sf2) files
• Play the on-screen piano keyboard (touch lower on a key to play louder) or the drum pads
• Connect a USB or Bluetooth MIDI keyboard and record MIDI
• Piano roll: add, move and resize notes, quantize, set velocity
• Start with a beat: open a new song on a ready-made beat and start writing right away

Mixing and effects
• Volume and pan for every track
• Per-track EQ with low cut, and a compressor
• Reverb and tempo-synced delay sends, with ping-pong delay
• Master limiter that keeps the mix from clipping
• Export the whole song as MP3, AAC, WAV or FLAC

Audio tools: MP3 cutter and more
• Cut: trim a song on its waveform and add fades, for example to make a ringtone or alarm clip
• Record: a simple voice recorder that saves MP3
• Convert: MP3, AAC, WAV or FLAC, with quality, sample rate and channel options
• Merge: join clips end to end
• Effects: change speed, pitch and volume, add fades or play backwards
• Mix: layer two tracks and set each one's volume and start time
• Library: play, rename, share or delete everything you made
Opens MP3, M4A, WAV and FLAC files. Results are saved in Music/ElightLab on your phone.
