Karbar by Dana

Karbar by Dana is an embedded FinTech platform that generates an alternative credit score from mobile device signals and transactional SMS keywords to help lenders evaluate credit risk. Dana connects end users with partner banks and financial institutions (it is not a lender). Users build an alternative score in the Dana app, view BNPL eligibility and credit limits, apply for BNPL or credit cards, complete eKYC, and receive approvals and disbursal through partnered lenders.

Dana focuses on financial inclusion for underserved SMEs and individuals by enabling lenders to make data-driven decisions where traditional credit data is missing. The app analyzes only transactional SMS keywords (without storing or reading personal messages), uses the device camera for ID verification and storage access for required documents, and transmits data securely (HTTPS).
