Review summary

Glass offers a unique, free-form light-puzzle experience with multiple valid solutions, strong level design, and high replayability. Fans praise its originality, intuitive light concepts, and polished visuals with good sound. Common drawbacks are fiddly controls, poor or missing in-game directions, and some very hard late-game puzzles that rely on precision. A few players want more updates and content. Overall, it’s a standout concept well-executed in many parts, but would benefit from improved input responsiveness, clearer onboarding, and more levels to sustain interest.
Pros
  • Unique, free-form light-beam puzzle mechanics with multiple valid solutions.
  • Polished, well-designed levels and interface with clean visuals.
  • High replayability and ongoing challenge; puzzles stay engaging and encourage different approaches.
  • Educational feel; helps players intuitively understand light behavior.
  • Strong audio design and overall atmosphere.
Cons
  • Fiddly, imprecise controls and input latency; dragging adjustments can be frustrating.
  • Unclear onboarding and lack of in-game directions; learning curve is steep without external tips.
  • Very high difficulty in later levels and issues distinguishing overlapping beams; some puzzles feel nearly impossible.
  • UI quirks like large rotation circles and cramped layout on small screens; placement can be fiddly.
  • Limited updates/content and occasional availability issues; players want more levels and ongoing support.

It is now 2024 and I keep coming back to this game every year or so and replay it. I do not memorize the puzzles so it's always a challenge again. The amount of time I spent in this game is astonishing. I love how puzzles can be solved in many different ways that do not always require all pieces. I love how the receptors turn into the emitters in the next level. The sound design is outstanding. One of the best mobile games in my opinion. Period. Only bummer is that not more was done with it.

Manipulate lines of light with various tools. Plenty of wiggle room, so you don't have to be pin point accurate to win. 9/10 would recommend. Deducting a point because the game isn't supported on some newer Android versions.

One of the more interesting games I have seen on android. Does not involve squeeky anime girls in skimpy outfits.

This game is pretty cool. It requires you to possess a certain few qualities, like, for example, the intellectual curiousity to play around with the various beam-changing tools you're given to work with...

It's an alright concept but the controls are terrible. The game requires fine movements of the reflective slides and carefully planned, minute adjustments but you can't make those adjustments because the slides require you to drag them in order to select them for moving. You'll go to adjust the position by millimeters and find you have to drag it in one direction for a half inch before the slide registers that you're moving it and that can message up your positioning. Next the light Ray's don't change in real time. If you're adjusting by an angle you can see where the beam will go but if you're positioning the slide the beam will remain in place as though it's still hitting the slide you're currently moving. This app requires a LOT of work before it'll be fun to play and that's a shame because I love the concept.
