User reviews
Overall, miMind is a well-designed, powerful mind mapping app praised for its intuitive interface, customizable features, and cross-platform syncing. However, multiple users mention issues with small UI elements on phones, costly and slow syncing due to per-device licenses, and difficulties navigating large maps due to limited search and grouping functions. Despite a somewhat steep learning curve and poor initial help resources, most users find it highly valuable, stable, and worth purchasing.
Pros
- Intuitive and easy-to-use interface with powerful functionality.
- Good syncing capability between mobile and desktop versions.
- Highly customizable mind maps with various styles and layout options.
- Reliable and stable with few crashes over long-term use.
- Offers substantial free features, making the upgrade optional for many users.
Cons
- User interface elements can be too small on phones, making selection difficult without a stylus.
- Syncing between devices can be slow and requires separate licenses per device, leading to higher costs.
- Navigation within large maps can be cumbersome; search functionality lacks ranked results and efficient navigation aids.
- Group movement of nodes is limited and can be challenging when nodes have multiple roots.
- Help documentation and onboarding experience is insufficient for new users, leading to a steep learning curve.

Like the layout, it is easy to put together thoughts, I will probably end up upgrading to the full version soon. They probably are missing a few features that others apps might have, like check boxing tasks, and i would like to see reroute nodes for organization in freeform, but I do like the layout and usability.

I use mind mapping quite a bit. I enjoy using this one. Biggest plus is the syncing between Mobile and desktop. For the price it's solid. There's just a couple things that I'd change, but I still give it a 5 stars. Would love the easier navigation on desktop to quickly go back to previous tabs. Mobile same thing. And syncing to be a bit quicker but these are picky. It looks real good and is robust.
