- What steps are used to verify this app protects privacy and offers a “clean” link?

As a Rule this app strips ALL url parameters apart from a few exceptions that are known not to be trackers. For instance, when you share a specific time (t=) with a youtube link. or a google search eg. "search="my%20search". But these are specific exception not the rule. As a rule it will remove ALL parameters for your links.

In some cases this may break certain urls meaning they no longer link to the same content. (very clean link) . If this occurs please leave us a review with the details and we can add some more exceptions to the rules to support your favourite sites in future updates.


- How is a link determined its safe?

This app removes all URL parameters from links that can be used to track users. Determining if a link is "safe" to visit is at your discretion. The definition of safe can vary from person to person, This is not for us to decide.
