Choose a country and document. The front camera opens. Capture is automatic when all seven checks pass. Not affiliated with any government.

Glasses or hat: tap the row to confirm both are off. This is the only check you confirm yourself. Face size measures head height from chin to the upper edge of hair against the rule's range. Head position checks a centred, level face looking straight ahead, with the phone upright. Eyes checks both eyes are open. Mouth checks a closed mouth and neutral expression. Light checks even cheek light, a gap at most 0.7 EV, not too dark or blown out. Wall behind you checks a plain wall in the rule's colour family.

The fog scale counts open checks from 7 to 0. All clear shows head height, such as 62.0 percent against 50 to 69 percent, eye line height, cheek light gap and retouched 0 px.

There are 58 photo rules in 33 countries. Passport rules include Japan paper photos and online applications, Malaysia for children under 4 and Nigeria online applications. Passport rules abroad include China and Brazil at its US consulate.

Visa and eVisa rules include Albania e-Visa, Colombia e-Visa, New Zealand visa and NZeTA, Taiwan, US visas and US Diversity Visa.

ID card and permit rules include Pakistan NICOP, Luxembourg ID cards, Italy residence permits, Malaysia expatriate passes and US green card applications for Form I-485.

The rule atlas lists 74 countries and 81 documents in 49 countries where an office or registered studio takes the photo. It gives the office's reason, with no check. For 39 documents in 18 countries, including Estonia's passport and ID card, offices accept your photo but measure head height to the upper edge of the skull. Clairume says it cannot check these yet.

Each rule shows its source host and read date. Sources include travel.state.gov, uscis.gov, ica.gov.sg, dnielectronico.es, gov.br, indianvisaonline.gov.in, borger.dk and politi.dk. Where no head size is published, the rule states that it uses standard framing from the ICAO technical report Portrait Quality, version 1.0, 2018. Settings has source links and read dates. Passing checks does not mean an office will accept the photo. Check the official photo page before applying.

Export only crops and resizes. No retouching, background replacement or generated pixels. You receive a JPEG at the required pixel size and, when the rule has a print size, a 4 x 6 inch sheet with copies. Save or share the files. The pixel ledger shows source size, crop, resize and pixels generated: 0 px. If the camera captured too few pixels, the app refuses to upscale and you are not charged.

Checking costs nothing. Exporting one person's photo is a single Google Play purchase. Google Play shows the price in your currency. No subscription or trial. An unused purchase can be restored within 7 days.

No account, login or ads. Face detection runs on the phone with Google ML Kit. Photos and face data stay on the phone and are never uploaded. Google ML Kit may send Google encrypted usage, performance, model, OS and install ID data, but not photos or face data. Google Play purchases are handled by RevenueCat. In the United States or with a US rule, a face data notice asks for a typed signature before the first face check.
