Legacy Library is a children's ebook app for the books your family already owns. Photograph the pages of a book your child loves, record a loved one reading it, and add it to a personal shelf your child can open anytime.

Each family member gets their own narrator profile, so kids hear their stories in the voices they know best.

For the people who can't always be there

Grandma lives across the country. A parent is deployed overseas. An aunt wants to read a bedtime story from far away. Legacy Library keeps those voices close, so children stay connected to the people they love through storytelling.

What you can do

- Photograph pages from physical books you already own
- Record your own narration for each page
- Give every family member a narrator profile with a custom avatar
- Let kids tap through pages at their own pace, or turn on autoplay and listen
- Switch between day and night reading modes
- Set a daily reading limit and approved reading hours
- Create a book on one device and share it to your child's shelf in a few taps

Built around books you own

Legacy Library is made for your personal collection. Photograph the pages of books you already have at home and record your narration to bring them to life for your child.

Works offline

Once a book is on the shelf, your child can read and listen without a connection.

Private by design

No accounts and no ads. Nothing is collected, and nothing leaves your device unless you choose to share it. Build a library that lasts. ## Rankings - #3,072,782 — Overall ## Permissions and access ### Permissions - `android.permission.ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE` - `android.permission.CAMERA` - `android.permission.INTERNET` - `android.permission.MODIFY_AUDIO_SETTINGS` - `android.permission.RECORD_AUDIO` - `android.permission.SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW` - `android.permission.VIBRATE` - `android.permission.WAKE_LOCK` - `com.android.vending.BILLING` - `com.android.vending.CHECK_LICENSE` - `com.cbleecker.legacylibrary.DYNAMIC_RECEIVER_NOT_EXPORTED_PERMISSION` ## Similar extensions and apps - [Legacy Roots](https://chrome-stats.com/d/com.onlinebrands.legacyroots) — 46 users - [Readby: Family Story Time](https://chrome-stats.com/d/io.readby.app) — 11 users - [bookshelf.kids](https://chrome-stats.com/d/bookshelf.kids) — 12 users - [Family Story Time](https://chrome-stats.com/d/com.weilerhaus.familystorytime) — 88 users - [Labeebee: Bedtime Stories](https://chrome-stats.com/d/com.labeebee.app) — 1,885 users - [Little Legacies](https://chrome-stats.com/d/com.littlelegacies.app) — 30 users - [Vorlesen App](https://chrome-stats.com/d/app.vorlesen) — 5,282 users - [BookVoice Kids: Read Aloud](https://chrome-stats.com/d/com.neelkanth.storyteller) — 219 users - [Legacy Stories](https://chrome-stats.com/d/com.legacystories) — 1,265 users, 1.00 / 5 - [Storytime: Book Labs](https://chrome-stats.com/d/com.goldtusks.storytime) — 12 users - [Story Land: Kids Books & Audio](https://chrome-stats.com/d/com.artistscompany.story_land) — 120 users - [Story Time: Reading Together](https://chrome-stats.com/d/dev.roek.storytime) — 149 users --- Source: [Chrome-Stats](https://chrome-stats.com/d/com.cbleecker.legacylibrary)
