## Description

Smart Blind Stick (Canenine) is an assistive mobile application designed to support visually impaired individuals by enhancing safe and independent navigation.<br><br>The system works in combination with a smart cane equipped with ultrasonic sensors and a camera module. The mobile application connects wirelessly to the cane using Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, enabling real-time communication between hardware and software components.<br><br>The application provides live camera streaming, obstacle distance detection, and depth hazard alerts to warn users about potential dangers such as walls, vehicles, stairs, potholes, and sudden drops. Visual indicators and alert messages are displayed on the mobile screen to represent obstacle severity and depth status clearly.<br><br>Artificial intelligence–based object detection is integrated to identify surrounding objects, improving environmental awareness for the user. The system is optimized for real-time performance on mobile devices and embedded hardware.<br><br>Smart Blind Stick (Canenine) has been developed as a Final Year Project (FYP) with the objective of improving accessibility and mobility for visually impaired individuals through the integration of artificial intelligence, mobile computing, and embedded systems.
