Plotline is a GPS land area calculator that gives the answer in acres, hectares, square feet and local units such as bigha, guntha, katha, kanal and marla. No ads. No subscription.

WHY PEOPLE SWITCH TO PLOTLINE
• Walk the boundary: press Start walking, go around the field and press Finish. Plotline skips vague readings and GPS jumps, keeps recording with the screen off and works offline, with no internet connection.
• Accurate maths: area and perimeter are measured on the WGS84 ellipsoid with the geodesic method used by surveying software. No size limit, from a garden to a whole farm.
• Honest local units: a bigha in West Bengal is not a bigha in Rajasthan, so every local unit shows its region. If your records use another size, add your own unit.
• Acres included, with hectares, square metres, square feet, square yards (gaj) and more than 30 local units.
• Easy from the first minute: a short 3-step guide shows how it works, and every screen tells you what to do next.
• Precise corners: on the plot sheet, tap to add a corner, drag a stake to move it (a magnifier shows the exact spot), delete it in one touch, undo and redo any change.
• Calm: no ads at all, no pop-ups, no "rate us" nagging and no account.

TWO WAYS TO MEASURE
1. GPS walk: walk around the field with your phone ("Trace my path"), or use "Stake corners" for straight-sided plots: stand on each corner for a few seconds and Plotline averages the GPS readings.
2. Enter coordinates: decimal degrees (18.5204, 73.8567) or degrees, minutes and seconds (18°31'13"N 73°51'24"E). Paste a whole list at once.
Then check and adjust the shape on the plot sheet, a scaled grid with every side length.

RESULTS YOU CAN USE
• Area in your main unit plus the units you pick, perimeter, every side length and the corner coordinates.
• A warning when the boundary crosses itself, with one-tap untangle.
• Save fields with a name, notes and the date (5 fields in the free version).
• Share the figures as text on WhatsApp, SMS or email, free.
• Pro: export KML for Google Earth and GIS apps, and a PDF field report with a scaled plan, every measurement and the corner table.

LOCAL UNITS INCLUDED

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
No account, no sign-up, no ads and no analytics. Your fields stay on your phone. Location is used only while you walk a boundary, and Plotline never uploads it.

PLOTLINE PRO: ONE-TIME PURCHASE, NO SUBSCRIPTION
Unlimited saved fields, plus KML and PDF export. Pay once and keep it. Measuring, GPS walk, all units and text sharing stay free.

Good to know: phone GPS is usually accurate to a few metres under open sky. For the best result, wait for good GPS before you start and walk at a steady pace. Plotline is a measuring tool, not a legal survey. ## Rankings - #1,896,134 — Overall ## Permissions and access ### Permissions - `android.permission.ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION` - `android.permission.ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION` - `android.permission.ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE` - `android.permission.FOREGROUND_SERVICE` - `android.permission.FOREGROUND_SERVICE_LOCATION` - `android.permission.POST_NOTIFICATIONS` - `com.android.vending.BILLING` - `com.android.vending.CHECK_LICENSE` - `com.buddy.plotline.DYNAMIC_RECEIVER_NOT_EXPORTED_PERMISSION` ## Similar extensions and apps - [GPS Plot Area Calc](https://chrome-stats.com/d/com.sigma.gps.plot.calc) — 103 users - [Land Area Calculator: GPS Map](https://chrome-stats.com/d/com.cl.land.area.measurement) — 1,121 users - [Field Area Measure: GPS Acres](https://chrome-stats.com/d/com.retrytech.apps.plotrace) — 367 users - [PlotWalk: GPS Area Measure](https://chrome-stats.com/d/com.lexmedia.plotwalk) — 29 users - [GeoMeter: Land Area Measure](https://chrome-stats.com/d/uz.geometer.app) — 3,344 users - [GPS Land Area Calculator: Acre](https://chrome-stats.com/d/com.areameasure.area_measure) - [GPS Land Area Calculator](https://chrome-stats.com/d/com.landarea.calculator1) — 89 users - [Area and Plot Measurement](https://chrome-stats.com/d/net.appcolors.area_and_plot) — 400 users - [Maps Area Calculator: GPS Land](https://chrome-stats.com/d/com.lketech.maps.area.calculator) — 369,025 users, 3.47 / 5 - [GPS area calculator](https://chrome-stats.com/d/com.alphasoftechs.freeareacalculator) — 39 users - [GPS Land Area Measurement](https://chrome-stats.com/d/apogee.lab.landareameasurement) — 10 users - [GPS Land & Field Measure](https://chrome-stats.com/d/com.kingmaker.gpsarea) — 97 users --- Source: [Chrome-Stats](https://chrome-stats.com/d/com.buddy.plotline)
