User reviews

BlackBerry Hub+ Inbox is praised for unifying emails, messages, and social media notifications into one app, supporting multiple accounts and devices. However, users frequently report persistent issues syncing Microsoft personal Outlook/Hotmail accounts due to authentication problems, app crashes, and lack of developer support or timely updates. UI inconsistencies and synchronization bugs also frustrate users. Despite these issues, it remains a favorite for those wanting centralized communication management, provided their accounts are compatible and they tolerate ongoing stability concerns.
Pros
  • Consolidates multiple email and messaging accounts into a single unified inbox, including social media notifications and texts.
  • Supports various account types like Gmail, Outlook, IMAP, and integrates with BlackBerry Calendar.
  • Has a loyal user base and is considered one of the best apps for managing multiple communication channels in one place.
  • Works well on multiple devices including Samsung and BlackBerry phones and tablets.
  • Offers a familiar and appreciated UI for long-time BlackBerry users, improving over time.
Cons
  • Ongoing issues with syncing Microsoft personal Outlook and Hotmail accounts due to authentication changes and lack of OAuth2 support for personal Microsoft accounts.
  • Frequent app crashes and instability reported, including crashes during account setup and general use.
  • Lack of timely and sufficient developer support and updates, leading to unresolved bugs and some compatibility problems on newer devices like Google Pixel 8 Pro.
  • Some user interface bugs such as disappearing icons/buttons, issues with multi-select deletion, and bugs when composing emails (insertion of extra lines).
  • Poor remote search functionality and inability to properly handle drafts and email deletion synchronization.

Blackberry Hub has been working well and I haven't had the old freezing issues I had before anymore. However, emails from Microsoft Outlook are no longer syncing to the hub due to Microsoft outlooks authentication changes. Blackberry Hub+ inbox will need to update the app in order to allow emails from Microsoft Outlook to sync again. Any idea when this upgrade will take place? Outlook is the main channel I used to receive emails.

Been using this app on my Samsung S22+ and on my Tab 8+. Wife uses on her S22. We have 10 or more accounts linked up to this. Been working like a dream for a long time. It's great having all texts emails and other communications all in one place without having to launch a gazillion apps every time I needed to skim through all my message accounts. No complaints, it works. Update 2024: New phones (Galaxy Tab S9 plus, Galaxy S24.. no problems) Outlook, gmail, random imap.. all working fine.
