## Description

“pharma.sensor” supports you together with your doctor in choosing safe and <br>efficient medication.<br>People metabolize drugs individually. How drugs are processed also depends on DNA variants.<br>“pharma.sensor” shows which genes are important for the safe effect of a <br>medication and whether special recommendations should be followed for <br>detected DNA variants.<br>The information is based on the official recommendations of the expert group DPWG (Royal Dutch Association for the Advancement of Pharmacy - <br>Pharmacogenetics Working Group).<br>Drugs can be searched for by entering the name of the drug or active ingredient, the pharmaceutical central number (PZN) or by scanning the barcode on the medicine pack. <br>The app also provides basic knowledge about genes, DNA variants, proteins and the effects of medicines.<br>Use the information together with your doctor to make better, evidence-based <br>decisions about medication therapy.
