Cool app, fun to interact with friends without the pressure of social media, until the app decides to show you not quite PORNOGRAPHIC images in it's ads!! You can't close them you just have to skip them or hope you don't see them. NOT the kind of app you would want your KIDS to use!!! I will probably be deleting this app within the next few days if the problem isn't fixed. So much for not being real social media |
| 2025-01-25 |  | | It's a good app here and there but I want to talk about the fact that the app is ran by a company that makes click bait adds for there games. And posts those ads on YouTube and other platforms. Another thing is that the app turns off your notifications. When I first got the app my notifications where on for when it sent the notification "it's time to BeReal" but then after about 3 months it stopped pinging me at all, and only pinged me for when my friends post. Terrible marketing strategy. |
| 2025-01-23 |  | | It is a great app I can post pictures and not have to worry about random people seeing my pictures. And you can except friend request. If your kid has this you don't have to worry about random people seeing your kid's pictures at all. In all it is a great app. It sometimes doesn't give me notifications about when the 2 minute timer starts but over all it is really good. |

For an app that depends on the notification this really needs to be resolved. Even if I've cleared my cache (daily) and reinstalled the app. Never had the problem before they added ads, more bereals, etc. Simplify! |

I'm staying on here for now because it used to be amazing, but folks, without some serious change, right now is the best that the app will be, it's been a steady decline ever since some features were given to Apple users that Android users still can't do, months later. |
| 2025-01-05 |  | | I love the concept of this app, and it used to work great. But lately it has been sooo buggy. I sometimes never get notifications that it's time to take a photo or I get notified late. Yesterday, the notification came 12 full minutes after the actual "time" went off, so I was already late when it told me to post. Often, I have to retake photos several times before it accepts it, and it keeps crashing when I try to open it to take a photo. It's no longer a fun app because it just doesn't work. |
| 2025-01-04 |  | | Bugs out a lot, and I can't post without wifi. it would be a nice feature if you could FaceTime on be real. everything else is good though. it's also a good app for kids 14 and up. I like some of the safety features it also has, like only your friends can see your post, and I think the realmojis are a really cool idea!! Overall it's a good app😆 |
| 2024-12-27 |  | | For the last couple of months I've been experiencing a lot of glitches where I would be losing my streak. It would still be locked on the day before, when I click on the notification for the new one. Sad to see my review go from a 5 star to a 2 star. Edit:12/26/24 With the recap being out now I was very disappointed with how it turned out. I was hoping this year they would have repeated the same format as last years, but it was just pictures. Hopefully next year they bring the 2023 format back |
| 2024-12-22 |  | | Seems like every week that goes by, it takes longer and longer for the be real to actually post. Ive lost pictures already by exiting the app before it shows on the calendar tab for today's date. So that means part of the process for this quick cool little photo experience, is watching it load for literal minutes every time. I keep thinking it will go away with updates, but not so far. If this was fixed, 5 stars. |
| 2024-12-22 |  | | SUPER BUGGY ....This app SUCKS!!! Ithas completely changed after it was sold. Now, there are advertisements, and they took away lots of features that users loved such as being able to swipe to see friends new post or see everyone's bereal by swiping from the top now you only can scroll I shouldn't have to delete and reinstall the app every time by bereal will not upload very annoying. Flash doesn't work as well as many other features I have contacted them about and still nothing new |
