Super Chess is a roguelike strategy game where classic chess collides with cards, spells, and brutal risk–reward decisions. Every run is a self-contained battle for survival ⚔️. Every mistake matters. And every victory is earned.<br><br>At its core, Super Chess is a turn-based chess battle system—but stripped of tradition and rebuilt for chaos 🧩. You don’t start with a fixed board or predictable pieces. At the beginning of each run, you draw a random hand of cards from your deck 🃏. These cards represent chess pieces with unique abilities, materials, and synergies. You may discard up to two cards before the run begins, forcing an early strategic choice: adapt, or gamble 🎲.<br><br>Each dungeon is a gauntlet 🏰. You must clear it in a single run without losing. Defeat resets everything—your deck, gold, spells, and temporary upgrades are wiped clean 💀. Only Books persist 📚. This design makes every run tense and meaningful, pushing you to think long-term while surviving short-term threats.<br><br>Between battles, you visit shops 🛒. Shops are where strategies are born or salvaged. Buy new piece cards, powerful one-time spells, or rare Books that permanently reshape how you play ✨. Strong early purchases can define an entire run, while poor decisions will haunt you in later battles.<br><br>Spells are active, consumable abilities designed to save you in impossible situations 🔥❄️. Freeze enemies, hurl fireballs, swap pieces across the board, teleport allies, mesmerize foes, or even rewind the last turn with Flashback ⏪. Spells are meant to be used, not hoarded—and they can always be rebought if you survive long enough.<br><br>Books are passive, permanent modifiers that form the backbone of your strategy 📖. Turn all pawns into gold-stealing units 💰. Transform knights into fragile glass cannons 💥. Give rooks a chance to evade attacks 🌲. Gain extra discards or spawns at the start of every run. Books stack, interact, and sometimes break the game in beautiful ways.<br><br>Pieces themselves are wildly customizable ⚙️. Materials like Glass, Wood, Gold, and Onyx change how pieces deal damage, evade attacks, or interact with status effects.
