## Review summary

Users appreciate that Quick Remote for Alexa & Roku provides voice control for Roku devices through Alexa and benefits those with limited mobility. However, many report instability issues, excessive ads in the free version, and a restrictive 50-command monthly limit. The app often fails to find devices, crashes frequently, and Alexa commands are unreliable, particularly for turning the TV on/off or changing volume. While some find the subscription reasonable and enjoy reduced remote clutter, overall the app needs significant improvements to its stability, usability, and transparency about limits.

### Pros

- Enables voice control of Roku TV through Alexa, allowing launching apps like Hulu and Netflix.
- Beneficial for people with limited mobility or disabilities by enabling hands-free TV navigation.
- Allows control of basic functions such as up, down, left, right, select, pause, and play commands.
- Subscription price is considered reasonable by some users compared to the app's functionality.
- The app consolidates multiple remotes into one, simplifying TV and device management for some users.

### Cons

- App is unstable and often fails to execute voice commands, with random errors and crashes.
- Free version severely limits users to 50 commands per month, which depletes quickly especially due to failed commands counting against the limit.
- Excessive and intrusive ads in the free version, including pop-ups after nearly every action, are a major frustration.
- The app frequently crashes when selecting devices or attempting to save settings, and does not reliably locate Roku devices.
- Alexa voice control is inconsistent—commands often do not work, like changing volume or turning the TV on, and the app lacks some expected features like a power button or app-specific commands.
