Review summary
Pasta Machine is a simple idle game that some users find casually enjoyable, especially due to its laid-back gameplay and optional rewarded ads. However, it is overwhelmingly criticized for extremely frequent forced ads that interrupt play every 30-60 seconds, aggressive and misleading ad-removal pricing via expensive weekly subscriptions, and ads shown even after paying with in-game currency. Users report slow progression, gameplay bugs, and the need for internet connection. Overall, the excessive advertisements and deceptive monetization practices greatly detract from the experience, leading many to uninstall and warn others.
Pros
- The game is relatively simple and can be a decent time-killer for casual play.
- Some users find the gameplay laid-back and somewhat enjoyable for a short period.
- Occasional optional ads provide small rewards, and the game warns before playing ads, preventing accidental ad clicks.
- The art style is childish but helps keep some users engaged.
- The gameplay loop itself is straightforward and may have potential if not for ads.
Cons
- Excessive and frequent forced ads disrupt gameplay, often appearing every 30 to 60 seconds or after almost every action.
- The "No Ads Forever" feature is only attainable via an expensive weekly subscription, which many users find misleading and exploitative.
- Ads appear even after paying with in-game currency for upgrades, reducing the enjoyment and fairness of the game.
- The slow progression and repetitive gameplay further diminish user enjoyment.
- The game requires internet connectivity and cannot be played offline without ads.
- There are bugs reported, such as uncredited levels and ads triggering unexpectedly.
- Deceptive advertising and pricing practices have led to user frustration and distrust.

2025-01-16 | advertised as no ads, has forced ad breaks, spams ad opportunities, and ad banners in the UI (which are actually the least intrusive). let's you remove ads by purchasing weekly "kits". I've no issue with ads, it's how they make money, but at least be honest in your own advertising. Relatively satisfying game though, so at least there's that.
2025-01-09 | Not hard and it runs. But the ads.. there's literally an ad every single time you try and upgrade something. You literally play the game to earn the money and when you finally upgrade after saving, bam there's an ad. I get it y'all need to make money. But you're idiots for this kind of design. Update 1/9/25. I forgot I had gotten this before but now it's even worse. There's a "coffee break" ad every 30 seconds to a minute. STAY AWAY!
2025-01-07 | This game isn't as great as it looked since there are ads about every 30 seconds. If you want no ads you have to pay 2.99 a week which is ridiculous for such a lot quality game. The game also force opened itself after my review when I went to a different app.
2024-12-31 | I never review games, but this game warrants one. It could be such a soothing experience if it weren't for the ads that pop up every 45 seconds or so. And the only way to turn ads off is to start a $3 weekly subscription. Get bent with that. I understand that games cost money, but a subscription to keep ads off an idle game is ridiculous.
2024-12-15 | it's a very nice game but the thing is that sometimes there is no internet like when you're in the game you don't need internet but when you're starting the game you do need internet the only problem is that there is too many ads 1 minute you got an ad and then the next couple seconds you have another ad that's the only thing that's really the problem and I don't blame y'all because a lot of other games do that but y'all are my favorite game so I'm just asking for less ads please😁
2024-11-25 | The app has an in game advertisement that states "no ads forever" but it's tied to a weekly charge of $3. Not only is this an utterly ridiculous amount per year ($156 USD), but it's a flat out a blatant scam. A report has been made, and I uninstalled.
2024-11-24 | Honestly, clicker games like this usually go a couple of ways. Either it's riddles with forced ads that are annoying and useless, or there's ads that give rewards (not forced). This is one of the few games that I have played that gives an actual reward (albeit small) for forced ads, and there's a warning so it's not just tapping, bam ad, oops you tapped the ad now it takes you to the play store. Decent game, simple, fun, and just a great time-killer.
2024-11-23 | I'm not getting credited for level 4, and I figure it might be delayed, but it's not. I'm up to level 7 and nothing. That's a waste of time and a loss of 1000 challenge points because of it. So I think there is a bug still or it's intentional.
2024-11-17 | When you only have "free upgrade with ad" options to do anything and the ads take longer then the gameplay its unplayable. Also know it's soley for ads when I can't play it with no data.
2024-11-03 | This isnt a game, this is an ad machine gaslighting you into thinking its a game. I dont think the 5-star reviews are even playing the same thing, its insane. They want you to watch 60 second ads for a 40 second "boost" and if you go too long without watching an ad, they give you 3 pop-ups BACK TO BACK to make you watch more ads. Garbage-tier "game" avoid like the plague. |
