Sariri is a project of the Costa Chinchorro Municipal Corporation that promotes the archaeological heritage of the Chinchorro Culture in our region, through the implementation of new experiences, through the use of augmented reality technology.

LIVE THE EXPERIENCE
We have partnered with the University of Tarapacá and worked hand in hand with the Qiri Multimedia Disclosure Technological Center, to generate a cultural experience that allows those who visit Cuevas de Anzota and, especially new generations, to learn about the tradition in a playful way Chinchorro cultural.

Objectives of the Project
Facilitate the access of knowledge to the Arica public and visitors of the archaeological heritage of the Chinchorro Culture, through the use of new technologies and implementation of an augmented reality experience in the Interpretive Trail of Cuevas de Anzota.

Disseminate the existing knowledge collected by the scientific world about the Chinchorro Culture in the region, doing it in a fun and easy to understand way.

Create a new experience that is attractive to the general public and specifically to the new generations, being a different way of acquiring knowledge.

Achieve the appropriation of the Chinchorro Culture issue by the general public.

The technology
Augmented Reality: It is the inclusion, in real time, of virtual elements within the physical universe. The observation of the real world, augmented and / or complemented with multimedia virtual sensory stimuli.

The points that you will find in the Sariri App are digital recreations of the Chinchorro culture. A culture that inhabited the entire coast of Arica. So far, no investigations have been carried out that have found archaeological remains in caves of Anzota, this may be due to various factors, but given the marine richness and the characteristics of the space, it could have been a place of daily use for the Chinchorro.
