## Description

The Codecov Browser Extension overlays code coverage data and line annotations directly onto GitHub so you can spot missing tests and coverage changes without leaving your workflow. See absolute and changed coverage on single files, commits, and Pull Requests, with per-line details and overall coverage totals. The extension also lets you filter coverage using Flags and Components in the GitHub UI for focused analysis of specific subsystems or feature areas.

To use the extension you must run it in Google Chrome or Firefox and have GitHub's Global Navigation update enabled. The extension uses your logged-in session (or an optional Codecov API token) to determine accessible repositories. Note that the extension may collect basic browser information — such as IP and visited GitHub URLs — as needed to fetch coverage for public, private, enterprise, or self-hosted repositories.
