It is not a government application. It does not represent, is not affiliated with, authorized by, or endorsed by SENAPRED, the National Seismological Center, SHOA, or other public entities.

MAP AND LATEST EARTHQUAKES
- Interactive map with relief, street views when zoomed in, layers, and light and dark themes.

- Events in Chile published by the National Seismological Center and worldwide earthquakes of magnitude 6 or greater published by USGS.

- Search the last seven days with filters for magnitude, distance, and period.

- Magnitude, depth, time, and geographic reference for each event.

- Automatic detections are identified as preliminary CQ data and may change.

LOCAL ESTIMATES AND TESTS
- Estimated Mercalli intensity and estimated time of arrival of seismic waves for your location.

- Configurable sounds, volume, vibration, and alert levels.

- Local simulations of light, moderate, and strong ground motion to test your phone's settings. These simulations are not real earthquakes and do not alert other users.

TSUNAMI INFORMATION
- Access to bulletins published by SNAM/SHOA, grouped by event.

- Status of coastal areas, times, and bulletin text available.

- Access to evacuation layers and links to official sources. The available archive does not guarantee the inclusion of the complete history or immediate receipt of each bulletin. The application does not issue official alerts or evacuation orders.

COMMUNITY
- General text chat, participation guidelines, message reporting, and user blocking.

- Community perception reports in "I Felt It": these are not official measurements.

- Premium rooms have access by members and moderation tools; they are not end-to-end encrypted.

FREE, PREMIUM, AND SUPPORT
The main query and essential alerts remain available for free, with two ad slots. A CQ Account is optional for the free features.
Premium removes ads and adds text chat rooms, advanced simulators, and expanded access to the available archive.
Support offers the same benefits as Premium and allows you to contribute more to the project. Plans are monthly subscriptions available in Chile. Google Play displays the price and terms before you confirm your purchase. You can manage or cancel them through Google Play; deleting your CQ Account does not cancel your subscription.

LOCATION AND LIMITS
You can use GPS with permission or choose a manual location. With your authorization, the app attempts to update the GPS approximately every hour, also in the background. A manual PIN does not change automatically. Estimates use the last saved location and depend on phone permissions, connection, and restrictions.
Events, intensities, and times may contain errors, be preliminary, or arrive with a delay. CQ Alerta does not guarantee warning before you feel an earthquake and does not replace the authorities or emergency services.
