MICA - Región de Valparaíso

The Interactive Map of Climate Change (MICA) of the Valparaíso Region offers the opportunity for the construction of scientific knowledge from an integrated perspective and to understand some scopes, limitations and implications of science and technology in society. MICA's perspective allows to visualize the different processes that relate scientific and technological knowledge with the construction of society, and vice versa, allowing to engage with critical thinking in everyday life and contribute to the exercise of a participatory and conscious citizenship. Educatively communicating scientific knowledge and technological development in the context of Climate Change is fundamental for the future well-being of society, since adaptations, mitigations in this area will allow progress in appropriate measures for the conservation and protection of the environment of the Valparaíso Region.
