## Description

CheckMyHTTPS is a Chrome extension that lets you quickly verify the security of HTTPS pages with a single click. It displays a color-coded status icon:
- Green: the connection is safe
- Red: the connection is compromised
- Gray: verification is not possible
- Black: verification is in progress

Technical details: The extension compares the site certificate received by your browser with a certificate retrieved from an external check server. If the certificates differ, the connection may be hijacked or subject to SSL inspection. Privacy: Only the domain name and IP address are sent to the check server, and you can host your own server. You can learn more at the project website.
