Alarm or reminder that speaks the title and performs actions
Install Compare

Alarm and Pill Reminder is a versatile Chrome extension designed to help you manage your alarms and medication schedules effectively. It features smart voice alarms that speak the title of the reminder and perform custom actions like adjusting volume or toggling Bluetooth settings.

Key features include pill reminders, general alarms, customizable repetition patterns (hourly, daily, weekly, monthly, yearly), and multiple executions per alarm for flexibility. Visual cues with color-coded labels indicate urgency, while options like sleep time prevent disruptions during rest. Users can select or record custom audio alerts, view the next alarm timer on saving, and receive persistent notifications even after device reboot. This extension combines convenience and adaptability to ensure you never miss important reminders, with an option to remove ads for a fair price.

User reviews

Users praise the app for its comprehensive and flexible reminder features, simple interface, and responsive developer support. However, multiple users report reliability issues with alarms not always ringing or displaying notifications, causing them to miss important reminders. Intrusive ads and confusing controls for stopping alarms are common complaints. Lack of alarm synchronization across devices and limited options for advanced scheduling like specific days detract from user experience. Despite drawbacks, many find it valuable for medication and general reminders and consider upgrading to the paid version.
Pros
  • Highly customizable reminders and alarms with flexible repeat intervals ranging from minutes to years.
  • Simple and user-friendly interface for setting multiple reminders with different titles and times.
  • Support for medication reminders and other types of reminders such as trash day and appointments.
  • Developer is responsive to user feedback and actively fixes issues.
  • Option to upgrade to a paid version to remove ads and support the developer.
Cons
  • Issues with alarms not ringing or showing notifications consistently, leading to missed reminders.
  • Ads can be intrusive, including full-screen ads and frequent prompts to pay, which frustrate users.
  • Lack of synchronization or alarm transfer when switching to a new phone, requiring manual re-entry.
  • Some confusing or unintuitive alarm and notification controls, especially regarding stopping alerts and understanding 'stop' vs 'mute'.
  • Inadequate handling of simultaneous alarms and inability to easily manage alarms for specific days or time ranges, such as Mon-Fri or segmented daytime medication schedules.

Most comprehensive alarm available. I bought it almost immediately after testing because it had a reminder that allows intervals from 1 minute to years and let you set the date and not just the time of the 1st alarm. Still needs some polishing and REALLY needs to get rid of the notice to remove ads after payment. Anyhow, this is the best available alarm and reminder.

It kind if works but can actually be dangerous. Various alarms set for the same time of day won't go off or show in notifications. Rules changed like every 4 days to every 3 days seemingly just creates a new alarm and so it still goes off every 4 days and every 3 days but the alarm for every 4 days is nowhere in the app. I adjusted from every 5 days to 4 and then 3, we'll now almost everyday it's going off and I'm sure I've taken too much. Will look for an alternative
