## Description

Auto Close Tabs is a browser extension that automatically closes idle tabs using container-based rules and URL regex. On the preferences page, you can add at least one closing rule, then toggle the toolbar button to ON to activate.

Configure inputs such as the closing rule and options like the number of tabs to keep open, the Auto Save folder, Close Rules, and Ignore Rules. The extension requires permissions (contextualIdentities, cookies, tabs, storage) to detect container names, read tab URLs, and remember settings. Bookmarks can back up closed tabs if you enable that feature.
