## Description

Auto Close Duplicate Tabs automatically detects and closes duplicate browser tabs when the same URL, bookmark, or link is opened multiple times. It runs passively in the background and can be toggled on or off via the toolbar button when you want duplicates to remain. Configure what “duplicate” means and the scope used for matching — across the same window, different windows, containers, or entire domains.

Options include ignoring URL parameters, ignoring the URL path (one tab per domain), expanding scope across windows, and expanding scope across container profiles. Required permissions: tabs, storage, cookies (for container IDs), and tabGroups. The extension is lightweight, focused on reducing tab clutter, and keeps your workflow tidy without manual tab management.
